Y740-15IRHg iCue issues

Got my laptop delivered to me yesterday and did all the updates and BIOS/Updates recommended by Lenovo through the website and through Vantage. Was excited to start playing around with iCue then I realised certain settings dont work.

 

When iCue is turned off all default modes work all right - after pressing FN + SPACE...The audio visualiser and type presets don't work at all. Any idea why or if there is official work of a fix on the way?

I have had a very similar issue on the exact same model. On mine, the function-space combo doesn't work for switching lighting effects, no matter which effect it is I'm switching to. Neither update you recommended fixed the issue.

Both the iCUE lighting and the default keyboard settings ( triggered by fn + space ) don't work hand in hand.

 

To turn off iCUE effects, thereby enabling the fn + space default settings to work well 

 

  1. Go to task bar [ the bottom panel where the start logo is located ]
  2. On the right side, you will find an arrow pointed upwards.
  3. Click on that arrow, you will find the iCUE logo.
  4. Click on the logo and select Quit option.
  5. Now, you will notice the default blue colour is back.
