Y740-15IRHg keyboard backlight not working after Vantage failed to update

Just got my 15" Y740 with 2080 MQ for a day and after Vantage update the "Lenovo Keyboard Lighting firmware", my keyboard backlight completely stopped working. iCue did not pick up any device. I tried to let Vantage install the firmware for more than 5 times but it won't install at all even after restarts. Is there a fix for this?

Hi ,

Could you help to post the firmware level of your keyboard.

Maybe you can check it from device manager.

Please check the “REV” version of PID C936 & C935. (ex: the ITE FW version of below capture is 1310)

Bro same issue here, did you find something that helped? Need to fix this asap. 

Lenovo support is just a waste of time.
