Are you sure it's not running on the dedicated card? Mine shows the same video ram only 1gig but all the monitoring software shows the dgpu is working and the performance matches. I was able to get a good 30 fps average. I'm using open j hardware monitor and MSI afterburner so monitor activity. In gtav msi overlay displays dgpu activity on my machine and again performance matches. In using latest and non beta drivers and didn't do anything else really.

For me assassins Creed syndicate keeps crashing my video drivers and Bluetooth for my controller due to what I'm guessing is a cpu bottleneck possibly. 100%cpu activity as soon as I got to the first act on London.

Nevermind, got it off quite easily following this post. https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-P-Y-and-Z-series/Cannot-remove-rear-panel-of-Y700/td-p/2245524

I've removed that horrible black filter and added my own to the rear using strong brown tape. It looks ugly but who looks at the rear of the laptop. My new filter allows much more air through.

Next step, undervolt Carrizo and flash back the default bios that the Y700 shipped with. It makes the GPU run at the original 3D clocks. Mor einfo here. http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/carrizo-apu-overclocking-undervolting.787097/

Okay, try my settings. I found the lowest voltage possible to run my FX 8800P at stably, 1.2v at 3.4Ghz. After removing the black filter and using these voltage settings i find 1 hour of Prime Small FFT results in a maximum ocpu temperature of 60c. Listen to my instructions carefully, and i will show you how to try my settings. Don't worry if they are not stable on your system, once the system is restarted the settings are forgotten. I can show you how to auto apply them on startup if needed.

Instructions

1. Download the tool. https://www.sendspace.com/file/kiwjic

2. Extract the tool to this exact location: This PC > C:\ > AmdMsrTweaker example http://i.imgur.com/8jQepWV.jpg

3. Download my script which automatically applies the lower voltages (https://www.sendspace.com/file/jgfsk3 )

4. Double click the script. You will know it works correctly if you see a command prompt pop up briefly.

5. Use HWINFO64 or CPU-Z to veryify the changes in CPU voltage and watch in amazement as the throttling disappears.

Here is a screenshot of 30 minutes of Prime 95 with my settings applied. http://i.imgur.com/kxZifl9.jpg

Credit to the Assembler for discovereing this tool. These voltage settings are my own however.

If you have any questions, please let me know. :)
