In my first post i posted about y700ACZ throttle. it was very serious throttle from 3.4ghz to 1.3ghz while playing games.
To FIX this follow my words.
1.Its not the gpu or the apu that is throttling nor any other hardware flaw.
2.Its the AIR intake vent.
TO FIX@ remove the hood and look upside down there you will see a cloth like fiber cloth covering the vent THATS the main reason of throttling.
3.remove the cloth carefully leave it open and run any of your game.look at the cpu in task manager
4. i played assassin creed syndicate for 1 hour and was no throttle even the gpu temperature was @60-65c
5.there are some lag in games though which is barely seen but what i think is its bcuz of 15w TDP !! but thats ok not an issue
6.ALSO I RUN HEAVEN BENCHMARK AND @EXTREME SETTINGS I GOT MIN 20FPS AND MAX 45FPS
7.BUT FIRST OF ALL DO CLEAN THE FANS AND ALL OTHER PARTS.
THE MAIN CAUSE IS THE DESIGN FLAW AND ITS LENOVO'S FAULT NOT AMD
SO AMD !!ROCKS!! SUPERB HARDWARE.
Solved! Go to Solution.

If this is true, you should be able to achieve a similar effect if you use one of the laptop cooling pads, if you don't want to bother with removing the air filter.

I'm glad you found something that works!!! It shouldn't have come to that. i doubt the dust filter is the actual problem. The fan curve is probably incorrectly calibrated and the thermal limits set to low.
Taking off the dust filter alleviated their shortcomings by allowing more air through but at the expense of future maintenance and dust accumulation. Not to mention, unless you can reattach it, the warranty might be voided.
I urge everyone to press lenovo to fix the fan curve so that they will kick on stronger before the thermal limit is reached, and to increase the thermal limits. The components are meant to run much hotter than what lenovo set their maximum temperatures to be (an issue on the AMD and Intel version).
This is all assuming that you are correct and the temperature is what was causing the throttling.
** It probably wasn't circulating hot air

Systox whats the best way to complain to lenovo directly about this? Call their customer service number? Ill be glad to speak or email anyone that may be able to get offical help as I dont really want to open my brand new laptop up just yet becasue I hear about some plastic clips being hard to take off and easily brakeable.
Ill gladly open it up if indeed thats the best solution found however I do not like how inferno states it is a solution. I would said more of a "mod" just because again I dont want to open this machine up to pull out that filter if I might break stupid clips. I mean Im going to open it up one day just when I buy more ram and possible HD upgrade.
Is there any way to take it out with out opening it up? I guess you Inferno got really fed up with this and started looking at any possible solution.
@inferno what resolution and setting are you using for ACS? I turned the res down to 900 to get a smoother frame rate. Same with the wicther 3. If you have the witcher can you let me know what kind of fps your getting and heat with your "mod"/fix? Im running at 900 with textures max and everythign else high or just below and getting a good ~30+ fps but at 1080 it falls to ~25 with dips below. Heats always up to ~90c+ which as you know throttles something down to ~10-15fps.

HOW TOOPEN THE BACK COVER PROPERLY
1. put the laptop facing towards you upside down
2.then from the woofer side open it from any of the two edges and start open slowly from left to right or right to left.
3.NOTE!! the exaust grill and speaker are attached like a hook and it will open completely so no need to worry.just be careful for the hooks
4. remove the fiber paper.
I CHECKED THROUGH MY OWN MOUTH BY BLOWING AIR THROUGH IT ITS COMPLETELY AIR PROOF!! AIR IS NOT COMMING OUT OR GOING IN. SO I REMOVED IT
i am playing assasin creed syndicate and mad max at 1080p high settings and there are only minor glitches only but if you level it up means put laptop on high surface it will not heat up
by playing ACS for about 1 hour the gpu temp was at 63c and barely reaching to 68-70c which is normal AVG
I DONT KNOW HOW TO POST IMAGES,SOMEONE SUGGEST ME SO I COULD POST THE RESULT
AFTER ALL THIS MODIFICATIONS I AM PLAYING ACS BO3 MAD MAX AT 1080P ON HIGH WITH MINOR GLITCHES BUT THATS A PROBLEM WITH ALL NOTEBOOKS.
GTA 5 PROBLEM--ITS NOT RUNNING IN DGPU EVEN IF I CONFIGURE IT TO HIGH PERFORMANCE THROUGH CCC. !!HELP!!
