Ideapad y700, running Windows 10 Home.
If I am pressing any key, the touchpad does not respond. It is the ELAN driver touchpad, and turning Palm Sensitivity all the way down does not help or make any change. I also tried updating the driver, and then turning down the palm sensitivity again, and still no change.
This computer is advertised as a gaming laptop, and not being able to use keys and mouse at the same time is kinda needed for that.

Unfortunately, I did try all solutions mentioned there. Uninstalling the driver and rebooting to use the windows basic driver did work somewhat, but it disabled every TouchPad method of scrolling, so it was ultimately not a good solution.
I ended up returning the computer.
Giving feedback for your response, I find it much less helpful to link to another thread than if you had also included the a text of the supposed solution in you post.
