Re:legion 5 15ARH7 Black screen all of a sudden

Greetings, louyy!

Options are limited to the function key only as other method requires access to Windows. Do you have available external monitor? We can connect that to the laptop and check if the display will work there.

Otherwise, we recommend reaching out to the technical team for further analysis and recommendations.

legion 5 15ARH7 Black screen all of a sudden

Re:legion 5 15ARH7 Black screen all of a sudden

Hello @louyy,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

I would suggest to try performing a power drain.

Here's how:

Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer from the wall socket.
If the battery is removable, remove the battery and hold the Power button down for 15 seconds.
If the battery is non-removable, while the computer is ON, hold the power button down and wait for the computer to shut down and still hold the power button down for another 15 seconds.
Turn the computer ON and check.

Hope this helps.
Regards,
Jack_Lenovo1

Re:legion 5 15ARH7 Black screen all of a sudden

I'm having the same issues. Tried every alternative solutions. Nothing worked. When I close the lid and open it, the display goes back to normal. But after few seconds/minutes/hours all of a sudden, black screen occurs. Then I just try to close the lid and open it again and there it goes. Are there any solutions to this problem? The laptop is still on keyboards are working. and everything, just the black screen it bothers me. Thank you, your response will be much appreciated.

Welcome to the Community, Aesirah!

Sorry if you're having trouble with this. Could you try moving the lid but not closing it entirely? Just to check if it responds when only on certain position which indicates that the issue is something internal.

Would also recommend testing it out with an external display.

Re:legion 5 15ARH7 Black screen all of a sudden

Greetings, Aesirah!

Just checking out, as we haven't heard from you a while. Is the issue with the display already resolved?

In case it's still the same, even if using external display, this could be from hardware point, and would be best to report it to the technical team for sampling.

If you have any more concerns or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out.
