Regarding a Lenovo Legion Y7000.
The screen itself has gone to sleep but the Y logo is still lit up therefor am thinking the light isn't tied to the screen itself.
Is there a way to turn off or disable the big white led Y on the top of the screen lid?
Have tried using the Nerve Center, Nerve Sense and Vantage apps but haven't found an option for what I seek.
I don't mind it personally but will need to disable it during work meetings as am sure it will lead to complaints.
If not, sadly will have to return the laptop.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Community Forums!
There are no controllers to turn off the Legion logo on the top cover of the LCD as per designed. Our apologies.

This is so silly that we can't turn the light off. It's a waste of battery..... Lenovo couldve actually use the backlight of the lcd panel itself to light up if it wanted to but some design genius opted for a light that can't be turned off to waste battery power and light up a dimmed room when you want the room to be dimmed....
shaking my head....

i upgraded mine to 32GB ram.... while at it, i was trying to see if i can remove the plastic panel around the lcd hinge to get to the lcd connectors to see if there is a separate power cable for the stupid Y light on the lid to permanently turn it off. but have no success so far trying to find a way to removve the plastic panel around the lcd hinge yet..... If anyone can point me in the direction, would appreciate it. Thanks.
Turning off that stupid Y lid light would be great for several reasons: not lighting up a dark room, save battery
