lenovo legion Y720 disable touchpad

How can I disable touch-pad as default? I'm tired to do this every time i start my laptop. Why its not deactivate automatically as soon as i plug in a mouse?

Re: lenovo legion Y720 disable touchpad

Hi Kreol!

Welcome to the Community Forums!

Lenovo touchpad cannot be deactivated automatically when an external mouse is plugged in. You can disable it by going to Device Manager, right click Lenovo Pointing Device or the touchpad driver (ELAN/Synaptics) then disable it. Unfortunately, it will reactivate if there's a windows update or if you update the driver.

Re: lenovo legion Y720 disable touchpad

You can't do that with the Elan drivers installed currently.

^This video guides you on getting better drivers for your trackpad - these drivers actually support what you're trying to do. Those settings will me in the touchpad settings on Windows (Which wont be there now with Elan drivers).
