"The services for Lenovo Vantage are being upgraded; please wait" (STUCK)

2020-02-06, 11:11 AM

After updating to the latest version (10.2001.10.0) through the Microsoft Store, Vantage is stuck on the following screen:

"The services for Lenovo Vantage are being upgraded; please wait"

I left it running for hours but nothing happens. I tried reinstalling the app but the same thing happens. Is there a way to fix this? If not, where do I find the previous version?

Laptop is a Legion Y540, Windows 10.

Hi Steef076!

Uninstall the Lenovo Vantage app and the Lenovo System Interface Foundation app as well. Restart the computer then install the Vantage app again.

Hope this helps answer your query.

Facing the same problem, here's another quick solution that worked for me:

Go to Apps & Features, search for "Lenovo Vantage Service",  click remove (deinstall) and keep the rest.

Start Vantage App again , click ok UAC - and the insatllation finishes.

Greetings from Vienna

Hi,

I have the same problem on my Yoga 730. But if I uninstall Vantage and the "Lenovo System Interface Foundation app" (it's called Vantage Services on my laptop), how can I then reinstall? Vantage can be found in the Microsoft store, but the Vantage Services app came preinstalled with my laptop, and if I remove it, it's gone. Where can I find it again?

I would appreciate any help!

Hi Kedi,

if you uninstall "Vantage" and "Lenovo Vantage Service", all the required features (Vantage, Vantage Service and System Interface Foundation V2 Device) should be installed automatically by reinstalling the Vantage App.

You will find Vantage and Vantage Service in Apps & Features, System Interface Foundation V2 Device will be located in Device Manager/System Devices...

Hi,

And thank you for your prompt answer. I have found a version of Vantage (not in the Microsoft store) which seems to work, but the problem is that the original Vantage (the Microsoft one) keeps wanting to reinstall itself and everything starts again ...

if you are really sure everything will return if I reinstall Vantage (the Microsoft store version I take it you mean) then I will give it a try.

Thank you for your precious help,

Kedi

You're welcome,

it worked on my three Thinkpads T 400 Series using the Vantage store-version - so I think you really can't go wrong...

My laptop is Yoga C640.

1. I have stopped the "Lenovo Vantage Service" from task manager

2. From the start menu I opened the Lenovo Vantage App again it was telling me that "Lenovo Vantage Service" is not installed you have to download. The download button was also there.

3. I downloaded  and installed from the prompt and it is back now

*** Hope this help

I have the same problem and uninstalling and reinstalling isnt working. I need to get the app to work so I can remove the 60% charging cap on my laptop.
