Lenovo Legion Y520 - WLAN card Update to WIFI 6 (802.11ax)
Hello,
I would like to update my WLAN card to a new card which allows me to use the new WIFI 6 protocol (802.11ax), I have seen this protocol uses the frequency band of 2.4 GHz, so I have not hardware limitations in this case because 2.4GHz is the frequency used by the legacy protocols.
I have seen as well that the interface of the WLAN card is a PCI-E interface, therefore I should replace the current WLAN card by a new one witht he same interface. I have found this WLAN card which supports WIFI 6:

(The WLAN card that is currently installed in my motherboard is this one: https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005001469001731.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.7b6e7154Silovm&algo_pvid=2f86a2a7-5c76-4b2c-a7da-02026dc368ef&algo_expid=2f86a2a7-5c76-4b2c-a7da-02026dc368ef-10&btsid=0b0a050b16043124452256454ebad2&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_)
Before buying it I would like to know your opinion about compatibilities, do you think it will work with the new protocol WIFI 6? I suppose that when I place it in the motherboard, windows 10 will download automatically the drivers to make work this card (through ethernet connection), but I do not know if there is any other limitation that could make it not to work at its fully potential.
What is your opinion? :)
Thank you in advance!
