I am writing to you as a teacher in a highschool in Croatia. In November of 2015 (which a little over 2 years ago) we bought 8 100-15IBY Laptop (ideapad) laptops. Right now we have only 3 which are working as other 5 are broken, that is the hinges of the screen are broken. In no other model and manufacturer have we had the same situation.
We took them to the certified repair shop but they told us that we have no basis for the free-of charge repair although we have bought extended guarantee. The strangest thing of all is that a year back we took one of the mentioned laptops to the same repair shop with the broken hinges and they said that the broken hinges are usually not covered by the guarantee, but that Lenovo for this model is repairing them anyway as it is the fault in the model itself.
My students and I are now working on only a few laptops and would grately appreciate your reply and help in any way.

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Unfortunately I`m not sure if there is a known fault for these models, I only know of the U series models.
I would recommend that you get in touch with your local Lenovo support line, they would be able to confirm for you.
Below is the link to the phone list where you can find these numbers
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
Did someone help you today? Thank them with a Kudo!
