All's well that ends well, at least with Ez Serv

[ Editado ]

To make a long story short, I've recently acquired a 15" T60p with a couple of faults, but still covered under warranty. The repair was called in on Sunday before Memorial Day, and my stated concerns were:

- Dim (although still perfectly readable) LCD

- A piece of hair stuck in the LCD

- DVD multiburner with a mind of its own

Now, my last episode with EzServ about a year ago left quite a bit to be desired, but I've choked it up as one bad experience as opposed to dozens of positive ones in the past. Still, I was somewhat weary, especially for the fact that warranty on this T60p is just about to expire this month...

Honestly, I felt bad for the rep in Atlanta, who was absolutely floored with my statement that there was a piece of hair stuck in the LCD. When I went on to explain that this was not the first time I had experienced the given issue on a ThinkPad, and that every single time it was on an IPS FlexView LCD, he must have thought that I was completely out of my mind, but kept his composure anyway...

The box was at my doorstep Wednesday, machine flew to depot Thursday and was repaired Friday, for me to receive it today.

I've said it many a times both here and on TPF : nothing beats a FlexView screen, especially when it's not dim, and doesn't have a hair stuck in it.

Have yet to test the multiburner properly, but the new LCD is downright delicious.

Thanks Ez Serv for a job well done, and restoring my confidence in your services.
