I have a u410 touch (somewhere in the world, anyway), and sent it off a couple of weeks ago to be repaired. The problem is, as many have noted in the past, the screen coming apart from the rear casing through regular use.
All I've had since sending it is an email saying that a bill for the repair will be sent to me.
Now, apart from my obvious issue with this, given that the problem is not my fault and is clearly a manufactuing defect listed even on the Wikipedia entry for the device, I'm stuck for contact here. I've phoned and emailed threating to pursue a refund if no information or repairs are forthcoming, to no avail. There's only so long I can wait on hold every day.
Does anyone have any advice? I'm in Scotland and use my laptop for work as a sound tech. Don't make me go Apple, Lenovo, because I blooming will.
