Emulator Drive

Hi Everyone,

I don't know if I posted it in the right place. But I have a question. I was doing backup on my T510 laptop the other day, and it gave me an option to burn it onto a DVD and an emulator drive. I, being a computer newbie pressed the emulator drive. It said it was successful so here is my question. What is an  emulator drive? I don't see it anywhere on my laptop but it says it was successful in creating the backup there. Did I ruin my laptop by creating it in the emulator drive? I'm abit confused. Can anyone tell me what it is? Thanks very much.

Re: Emulator Drive

A emulator drive is a virtual drive. It emulates a real hardware drive.

For example, if you want to burn a DVD using a virtual drive, the result is an ISO file saved in some hard disk place.

A free virtual drive software is MagicISO.

Best regards.
