Frustrated with Lenovo support

For the last 9 months, I have been battling an issue with my Yoga Pro 2 where my screen flickers over and over, until it decides to stop. I have called Lenovo support and they too were not able to provide a fix.

 

There have been SEVERAL people who have reported the same issue (see http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Idea-Windows-based-Tablets-and/Yoga-2-Pro-Screen-Flickering-and-Screen-Blanking/m-p/1725635/highlight/false#M27178) however nothing has been done. In fact, the forum moderator Sarbin has deleted posts from people trying to get help, and moved the thread to an inappropriate category used for "forum content, design, and operation".

 

Is Lenovo going to do anything to help address this MAJOR issue?

For clarification, only posts that blatantly violated the Community Guidelines were removed from view, while the posts that were off-topic to the technical discussion at hand, but were questioning forum content/operation were moved to Forum Housekeeping, and responded to there. A placeholder link was left in the main discussion making the moved post easy to find.

I know you have probably read this, or have had it told to you. Most of the people helping out here are volunteers, we have no clue what Lenovo is going to do, and can do, from minute to minute, unless they post it.

 

If I were having the same problem you are, I would be calling Lenovo Tech Support. If your system is still in warranty, then they should either be instructing you on how to fix it, sending you a tech to fix it, or replacing it. But none of that can be started from here. You have to call them. Sorry.

Hi JohnnyG,

 

It seems unbelievable but this SCREEN FLICKER ISSUE with all Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro (20266) has never been fixed by Lenovo even with thousands of complaints.
It has been well documented and addressed in the Intel Forum now and I hope it will be fixed briefly in a next update for Intel HD Graphics 4400.
