Update: so now they pushed back my order almost two weeks again, so this is delay #3.  So much for customer service insisting on the accuracy of their estimates (I guess I will not have this computer the Fall semester).  Shame on Lenovo, I feel very misled here.  This is no way to do business.  Had they been clear on realistic timelines I don't think I would have bought from Lenovo.

Been there done that..my advise,dont waste your time waiting. Spend a bit more on other brand n get your stuff in 2 days.

yeah. if i knew how long this would have been i would have gone with another brand and not given any of my hard earned cash to lenovo. very dissapointed in their service, will definatley be insisting others don't buy from them unless they do something about this!

Hey everyone,
I ordered a Lenovo Y510p 0005 version yesterday morning, and my order status still has red text that says "We have not yet received your order. Please check back in a few hours."

This is my first time ordering from here, and I've read posts of the order status being immediately available after order- so I'm just curious if this is normal.

Also, I'm reading horror stories here about these orders being pushed back large amounts of time.. I used the "seasonal savings" promotion, and it says this particular version should ship within 3 days- is this accurate at all?

Lenovo's projections are meaningless. You don't know anything until you get a UPS shipment notification. They are actually accountable for their projections.

I see, haha. Well I got a shipment notification today, but the tracking number doesn't work on UPS's site. Go figure.

The tracking number won't work until night time. When I got mine on Friday, the first scan wasn't until 9:30pm. Its not giving me a delivery date either, which I find is odd.

I recieved notification from ups that my laptop has been shipped out and is leaving shanghia (likely spelled wrong) china. It should be here on the 16th. meaning that it will have been officially over 1 month from the time i ordered  to the time i get it! *shakes head*

Ah, well at least you are in the home stretch.  They just re-listed the model I ordered (y500) as "Temporarily Unavailable" and I'm praying it's just a month delay.  Awful, Lenovo.  Awful.
