I'm really sorry to hear about your experience. Yours has obviously been worse than mine considering you needed it quicker.

Are you sure the ship date moved to the 24th? My ship date is the 17th but the arrival date is the 24th. Maybe that's what you're thinking of?

Either way, like I said, it's frustrating that a legitimate company like Lenovo can be so horrible with their customers. I feel flat-out lied to.

I agree with Roger, on discount days it seems it is confusion in there, and either you'll be lucky or not.

Also, great to hear ksera that your computer was delivered!

TXAGs, looks like things are going the good way too!

As for my order, it's still slowly coming my way, it's supposed to arrive tommorow "before the end of the day" (Hopefully after 4pm where I'm back from work!). Will get an update tommorow night!

I think Lenovo has enormous potential, great computers all, but there's a lack of experience or organization when it comes to customer support and shipping. However, their customer support is always there to answer, plus the quality for the price you pay is very good.

I didn't had any sort of update regarding the status of my 410 order and we are still seeing the ship date as the end of august. We didn't had our estimated ship date pushed back, it was like this from the begining, so Lenovo knew that we weren't going to be receiving this anytime soon. I bought this on 2nd of July, do I really need to wait 2 months for a laptop? I didn't made any type of customization to it, that's the worst thing. Calling lenovo has been of no help. We are probably going to cancel the order as we are seeing that the U410 has wireless card errors.

What a disaster. I expected more of lenovo.

Hi Christianx,

I absolutely agree with you.

Also, I can't help feeling down when I see all this people in this thread sooooo worried about the shipping date of their laptops (as I was until an hour ago when I cancelled my order), when there is a bigger thread discussing how bad, and apparently irreversible, the U410 and U310 wifi connections are. This is crazy.. Yesterday I started thinking seriously how anxious I was to recieve a laptop that probably would be used as a microsoft office display only. That is why I cancelled my order.

It is a pity Lenovo does not care about the customers. I had a gorgeous Lenovo laptop for 3 years, may be an experience I will not be able to repeat anymore.

Hope they care more about customer satisfaction these days!

Sharky

Re: Estimated shipping date : 6 months from now! :(

Same problem.  Ordered u400 on July 11th.  Original ship date was July 14th.  Updated to October 22nd.  Does anyone know how to contact Lenovo to cancel an order?  I have tried both the online chat and phone.  On the phone, I have been on hold for an hour.  Online, the chat window never loads.

Thanks for any help.

Cancelling my order.

I'm done with Lenovo and they just lost a $1000 purchase along with a lot of reputation. Never recommending Lenovo to anyone.

Well, I just hung up the phone with lenovo. After waiting 20 minutes for someone to pick up, I cancelled my order. The agent told me, once again, that this was caused by a problem with the LCD display, which I told him it was a lie. When we bought the laptop (IdeaPad U410 Ultrabook - 43762HU - Ruby, without modifications, just the way they sell it) it stated that it was going to be delivered the next week (on the site), but one or two days later, the status order link showed us that the shipping date was going to be on 2012/08/26, and the delivery date on the 2012/09/03. Over the phone we got told it was going to be shipped on 11th July, then on that same week, then that they didn't have a date.

Lenovo already knew about this delay, so they just wanted to get many orders lying about the real ship date because they weren't ready to release it, or they are just delaying things due to this faulty wifi card and that LCD is just an excuse to not look that bad. Either way, I'm out. I contacted Ty_lenovo again today in the morning, but unfortunatelly he wasn't able to help me with this. At least he never lied nor promissed anything.

Buying a laptop shouldn't take this much problems and delays. See you guys, I hope someone here get their desired lapto without issues. I'm done waiting.

Well, sounds like you all have just about had it.  I'm contemplating what I should do.  I really wanted this laptop and it seems like such a good deal.

My 4th shipping date was today, the 17th.  So far still "in production".  I am calling them again and this time I will not take an unsure answer about my shipping date.  I have not heard back from TY lenovo.  I will contact him again and maybe he can do something.  I know some of you have been waiting longer than I have and this is why my patience is dwindling.

It is just really sad to see a company conduct their business like this.  Even if I do get my laptop soon, I will not be recommending anyone to buy anything from Lenovo directly.
