Plugged laptop in showed Blue Screen

2010-10-06, 11:21 AM

Hi Everyone,

Another question from me, not sure if it was put iin the correct place though. My problem is that when I plugged my laptop to the power point this afternoon, while turning on my laptop. It showed a blue screen. I was wondering if it happened to anybody before? Because I think it was basically my fault for plugging the laptop in at the same time as turning the laptop on.

Thanks,

Jo

Hello,

Does this always occur, or did it just happen once?  If the former, can you please explain, step-by-step, how to reproduce it?

Maybe your laptop was power off in the wrong way. Take out the disk, connect it to another machine (a desktop if you have one) and boot your computer normally (desktop OS must be, at least, the same than your installed laptop OS). Then run a disk checker (in major of cases, Windows detects automatically if a disk has a wrong or damage file system structure).

Hi,

When I first received the laptop, within 2 weeks, the Blue Screen came up. I thought I must have installed a faulty device, so I restored my laptop to factory mode, as the Blue Screen came randomly whenever I tried to start my laptop.

It was fine after that, but when the Blue Screen happened after the reboot, it was when I was trying to plug the laptop back into the main power switch. Would it be that I shouldn't have left the power on while plugging the laptop and turning the laptop on which caused the problem?

Hi,

I don't have the error message as the laptop restarts itself after a minute.

But when it starts up it shows.

Problem signature:

  Problem Event Name:                        BlueScreen

  OS Version:                                          6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.48

  Locale ID:                                             3081

Thanks.
