Potential future thinkpad x200-x300 ?

2008-09-09, 4:14 AM

Does anyone know if there is a plan to come out with a 12" screen  that has the DVD like the x300 ? I am hoping there is something in the works soon, because i would love to buy it and wait for it.  Otherwise, I think i am going to be forced into the Sony TZ that has a too small screen just to have the dvd.

Thought ?

Don't think that model will ever materialise, why is the X300 too big or something??? I mean it is the same size as Macbook Air, and no one is saying that Macbook Air is too big.

Wjli2,

Speaking of Macbooks, you have dropped yours from your signature. Have you gone all Lenovo?

Best,

Having used ThinkPad products for over 10 years, we had desperately tried to find just one reason to continue using these products, to no avail. lenovo's official standpoint is not to talk about unannounced products.

as wjli2 mentioned above, have you considered the X300?

I considered thex300 and went to check it out, but its too big in diamater. The x200 was as large as I was willing to go. If i knew they had another in the works i would wait, but I think I am going to have to get a sony instead.

you can just get a portable slim usb powered usb drive, i mean unless you are always using the cd drive having one built in is not that useful.
