I would like to buy this computer:
but it only has 1 year lenovo warranty,
so i would like to extend it to 3 years lenovo warranty.
the problem is that i live in Israel (but will buy it in NY).
can i extend the warranty through this site:
will i get the extended warranty in Israel?
(the type 3249 is supported in Israel).

Theirst trick is whether or not J&R is an authorized reseller. Which to my reccollction they are. Now you may eithe inquire as to whether or not they personally sell a warranty extension, which some resellers do, or you can go through Lenovo Direct. Now as far as international warranties are concerned, i'm not specialized in those situations. BUT you should be able to purchase a warranty extension through the Lenovo site, i'd assume an Onsite warranty would be a bit difficult on the other hand.
The main trick is to contact our sales group at
They should be able to assist you and answer any sales inquiries you have. Since this is a bit of an odd case. ^_^

i'm actually constructing an arguement for my team to gain a "chat" function, but as far as sales goes, they do not have a chat support. The only way to get a hold of them is using that number.
Lenovo Web Page:
For Sales Inquiries:
Please call 1-866-96-THINK (1-866-968-4465) Monday - Friday 9am - 9pm (EST)
or emailing Websales@Lenovo.com
Is there an issue with calling? i may be able to call and ask myself if you need.

i prefer to send email , this way it easier for me.
but if you yourself can call and sort out this issue for me
it will be so helpful for me.
i think you understand my problem.
by the way i just need base warranty for 3 years, that is my goal.

got ya, well with the machine type i should be able to figure out whether or not they can help, and if the US sales cannot, where i need to go. If you want to go ahead and email them as well, we'll see who get's to the end first, and we'll get this sorted out for ya. ^_^

actually i just talked with sales, it looks like the US sales group can't assist because the machine would be serviced in Israel. A US war would be senseless. The Israel site is http://www.lenovo.com/il/en/index.html but the number they provide is incomplete.... i'm going to keep looking for ya, but the number they provide is 1-800-230-250

already "talked" with Israeli support and they are crap!
they said it isn't possible to extend warranty for laptop
from US, but i believe that they just want to sell their own
imported and expensive laptops.
the main issue is, can i buy warranty from US website
and then transfer warranty to Israel.
i have to say that i have a X61 tablet bought in NY
2 years ago with 3 year warranty from the box
and it is serviced here in Israel (i transfered the warranty).

For some reason or another i can't find the "warranty transfer" area on the website, but to my knowledge almost all computer companies provide a war xfer. You should be able to purchase a warranty upgrade here and have it xfered. Let me know when you get a response back on that email. And we'll go from there.
