Question on upgrade/extended warranty?

I live in Thailand. I have some questions on extended warranty.

1) in

Why some countries can (- some countries cannot) purchase online?

2) If i purchase upgrade/extended warranty today (in Thailand from distributor), how many days the new warranty will be effective? What is the standard procedure of upgrade warranty's lenovo? I heard from my friend, he took 4 months for his new warranty effect.

I've buy 3 Year Onsite Service Warranty on eary April 2010 and I got my warranty around August and September.

Now I've bought ThinkPad Protection 3Y for my X201i on 3rd Nov 2010 and now today neary March 2011 I haven't got my warranty yet.

   I have same problem as you. I wait for 4 month I think it very late. I want to know how Lenovo process for upgrade/extended warranty?.  Who are Thailand distributor? Why it very late ?
