SMART PERFORMANCE (Part of LENOVO ADVANTAGE) Hasn't Worked for 2 Months

I have an IDEAPAD 330-15AST // S/N: xxxxxxxx MTM:81D600K2US .  On 2/14/22, I bought ($50 for 2 years) a 2 year subscription to SMART PERFORMANCE.  For the 1st 4 - 5 weeks, it worked as advertised.  For the past 2+ months, it has worked about twice out of the 45 - 50 times I've tried to use it.  I was able to get a Lenovo Smart Performance customer support representative (CSR) to help me ONCE.  He told me to uninstall & re-install LENOVO ADVANTAGE and try to use SMART PERFORMANCE again.  This was successful.  However, soon thereafter the tool failed about 95% of the time.  Sometimes it just spins and spins.  Rarely (maybe 2x), it will start the scan and then when it hits (approximately) 39% complete, it goes into a loop for hours and never finishes. 

In the past 6 - 8 weeks, I have TRIED to engage LENOVO SUPPORT @ 1-877-453-6686 8 - 10 times.  Most of the time, if / when I speak to someone, they tell me that they are going to put me on hold and explain my problem to the next level of support.  FIVE TIMES, they put me on hold and then they hung up on me after I was holding for 15 - 20+ minutes.  My CASE # 2006866706 doesn't seem to make any difference.  I spoke to multiple CSRs and each time, they fail me.  Once (on Saturday, 5/28/22), they tried to call me back ONLY TWICE about an hour apart.  I was at church and not in a position to answer and then that was it.  The person I originally spoke to said that the CSR would take control of my IDEAPAD to do further PD (problem diagnosis).  This NEVER happened.  The instructions the "2nd level support person" gave me didn't help at all.  Their instructions were the same as if I had never called in the 1st place, i.e., I was starting from Square 1. 

To summarize...  (1.) LENOVO SUPPORT is abysmal.  They either don't care and / or they can't help because no one knows anything about SMART PERFORMANCE.  (2.) I have uninstalled and re-installed LENOVO VANTAGE at least 10 times over the past 6 weeks, and the symptoms don't change, i.e., the tool just spins & spins for hours.  (3.) There must NOT be any 2nd level of support for SMART PERFORMANCE.  (4.) I have used up 5+ hours of MY TIME to fix Lenovo's problem.  (5.) At this point, I am ready to write a letter to the Lenovo US President and ask for a $50 refund. 

If anyone has any ideas - other than doing an UN-install / RE-install of LENOVO VANTAGE - I am very interested in hearing different recommendations on how to solve this problem.

Dear hzfdbd,

Thank you for your reply.  I am hoping you are true to your word.  So far, I have been told by 5 or 6 different Lenovo Specialists that (1.) they would look into it and call me back, (2.) they would update the next level of support and not hang up on me and do a warm transfer, (3.) they would take control of my machine to do further PD, etc., but NO ONE has followed through on their word.  To date, I have been given empty words.  I will give you the same opportunity & courtesy I have given your peers / colleagues, but I expect a response, with some specific recommendations regarding how to fix my problem, within the next 2 calendar days.

Could you show me the screenshot of what is shown on Vantage?

And we need to collect logs of Vantage to analyze this issue.

Could you help to collect logs by following the steps below?

1 ) save log.reg.txt to your machine.

2 ) rename saved file to log.reg

3) Double click log.reg to import the registry key and select "yes".

4) Restart computer.

5) Run smart performance to recreat this issue. ->this is important, we need to have failure in the logs.

6 ) Zip all the log files from the below locations,

And they are hidden folders, please open file explorer and paste the address to address bar:

Here is the screenshot.  As you can see, the system is spinning in two places:  (1.) Next to ONCE A WEEK and under the SCAN SUMMARY SECTION.

I provided the screenshot by copying / pasting it into a WORD document and uploading it.  However, with regards to STEP 1) - STEP 6), I am not a technical wiz like you and your colleagues.  Would you please be able to provide step-by-step instructions on how to capture the data you are requesting?  I tried to follow STEP 1) & STEP 2), but nothing happened when I entered the SAVE command.

To All Members of the Lenovo Community, 

I have been working with LENOVO for almost a month, and still no one has told me (a.) why SMART PERFORMANCE (S.P.) no longer works and (b.) when the problem will be fixed.  Jeff Z has not been very helpful.  For nearly 3 weeks, he continues to to ask me to start TEAMVIEWER so he can log on to my system and gather data.  Most of the time, Jeff Z says he cannot capture any data because his connection is not reliable.  So in turn, he has asked me to capture system logs, ZIP them, send them to him via e-mail, etc.  This is NOT my problem, this is LENOVO's problem.  I will not be doing the work of the LENOVO technician.  Data gathering is not my job. 

I have already prepaid ($50 US dollars) for a 2 year subscription and NO ONE seems to care about how I have not been able to use S.P. for the past 3 months.  Sometimes it spins and doesn't start the S.P. SCAN at all.  Sometimes it hangs at "30% Complete" and stays at that percentage for hours and hours.  When I sent a screenshot to Jeff Z with the "30% Complete" via e-mail AND then another screenshot with NO SCAN results after 30+ minutes in another e-mail, I received an Out of Office message for Jeff Z and he tells the Sender to follow up with Matthew L, but he doesn't have the courtesy to provide Matthew L's complete LENOVO e-mail ID. 

IF ANYONE has been considering the purchase of SMART PERFORMANCE, I would strongly recommend NOT purchasing it.  LENOVO happily took my $50 in mid-February 2022 for a 2 year subscription, but since mid-March 2022 the S.P. tool has failed 90% of the time and is worthless.
