Technician onsite broke my X1 yoga screen and chassis clips

Hello everyone

A Lenovo engineer came today onsite to fix my Lenovo X1 Yoga.

Not only my laptop was not fixed, but I ended up with a broken screen, in addition to the other issues I had!

First of all, the replacement screen was not the correct one! Then the engineer while trying to remove the old screen, broke some of the clips on the chassis. Lastly, he cracked the screen in several places, so the screen does not work at all anymore.

Moreover, the other parts (as I had a 2100 error) systemboard and harddrive were not replaced yet!

The laptop is only 2 months old! After the service today, I do not trust the engineers anymore. The chassis has some clips broken which means that it should be replaced  also!

I paid about GBP 2000 and I do not need another broken screen, broken chassis clips or whatever else will get destroyed by your engineer!

Hence, I do not want to accept any onsite repair! Not only I doubt the quality of service but they will need to change so many parts that it is very risky!
I believe after the damage today, caused by their technician, Lenovo has to replace my laptop!

Can someone post an appropriate email to contact Lenovo in UK?

Thanks

Re: Technician onsite broke my X1 yoga screen and chassis clips

It seems that Lenovo customer service doesn't care about customer satisfactio and most importantly taking fullfiling their obligations!
As expected of a company with such an awfull customer support! I just wish I knew earlier!
I will not buy anything from Lenovo again and already advice and suggest friends to buy products from other companies!

So here is a picture from my screen after the onsite service (cracked everywhere and broken parts from the chasis). Note that the screen had no crack and no problem before the service! It was the security windows button that sometimes would not work!

Even the technician admitted breaken the screen when he called his boss as well as the  front office.

A week has passed and Lenovo customer service has not replaced my laptop yet!!! Good job Lenovo! Keep it up!

To people thinking to buy a laptop from Lenovo: better avoid it!
Not only it will fail soon but you will get a crappy customer service

Re: Technician onsite broke my X1 yoga screen and chassis clips

Days come and go and Lenovo is no where to be found!
A resolution owner was supposed to contact me. Guess what! No one has contacted me!

Bought a very expensive machine 3 months ago! For a month the machine in not working.
Lenovo engineer completly destroyed my laptop on his onsite service!

Even though he admitted the damage over the phone to his boss and to front office, Lenovo hasn't done anything!

Not only has the laptop yet to be replaced, but moreover no one has contacted me to resolve the issue!

As I am quite new in the UK, does anyone know if there exist some public service that I can ask for help in order to exercise my legal rights as a consumer?

Thanks!

By the way if you are reading this message, while considering to buy a Lenovo product, better to avoid it. I won't be buying any Lenovo products and I regret everyday I did.

Re: Technician onsite broke my X1 yoga screen and chassis clips

Dear Andy,
I am sorry for my late reply, but I was very busy.

Thanks for your help. At last someone contacted me and decided to resolve my issue.
Lets hope everything will work out without any further issues.

By the way, Lenovo needs to check the quality of customer support they are offering in UK.

It is very unlikely I will get any Lenovo product in the future after the treatment I experienced this time. Besides the service ,  customer support was very poor! No one seemed to actually bother during my communication with them to resolve the problem.

Thanks again
K.
