I purchased a X201 approx 1.5 years ago. Over the first year under warranty, this notebook was shipped in for repair "twice" for the same problem with a persistent vertical line down the centre of the display. Now that my warranty has expired, again I have the same persistent line down the centre of my display. Needless to say, I'm not very pleased with the quality of this product or the repairs. Lenovo support tell me their hands are tied without me having a current warranty. However,I don't believe that this problem has ever been effectively resolved and Lenovo support will not accommodate.
I have no problem replacing this notebook with a better quality product. I'm hoping that someone within this forum or Lenovo may help advise me what I can do to either have this unit replaced replaced or to provide some guaranty that if it is sent in for repair the problem will be resolved once and for all. I have no Idea who to contact to discuss or recommend a reasonable solution.
