Trade Replacement Product

I recently bought a laptop from the Lenovo website. However, the first unit I received was defective, so I got a replacement. 

 

Now, I actually think I want a different Lenovo product. When I receive my replacement unit and send back the old one, can I send back the brand new replacement and "trade" for the other Lenovo product, or at least return it without the restocking fee? 

 

It has still been less than 30 days since the original purchase, but 30 days is approaching.

A response would be greatly appreciated; the 30 day return period closes this Saturday and I would really like the other Lenovo product if possible ASAP

I'm sorry for posting three times in a row but I would really appreciate a quick response. My replacement arrives tpday but I am admittedly unhappy with my current product and I would like to trade if possible for a different Lenovo product. If it is not possible please let me know.

 

To reiterate, what I want to do is tp basically exchange my current product for a different one.

I don't mean to be flippant, but why don't you ask Lenovo if they would be willing to do this for you? There are a few Lenovo employees that read these forums, but they don't get to every post - this is primarily peer-to-peer support.

 

My one experience with a replacement was quite good as they did give me exactly what I asked for - and I asked for a different machine with higher specs than the one they replaced. Note that I did this early in the process though, before the replacement shipped.

Ok, I can try giving them a call. I was hoping to get support here because I don't like dealing with calling after being put on hold for about an hour and then hung up on three times in a row. Your experience with this issue seems positive though so I will try it again

My 30 day original purchase ends tomorrow, and the sales center is closed now, and over the weekend. Does that mean I won't be able to no matter what?
