I had sent my Y50-70 to Giat Solutions Service Center (Malaysia) to fix its screen. They found out that the part of the separator inside one of my USB port came out a little. But they decided it was CID (Customer Induced Damage). I recalled that the USB port was slightly tighter than the others when i first received it. I take a very good care of my laptop and i had not drop it once even after 1 year. The damage of the USB port looks nothing like those pictures Lenovo posted on their official website. I m very disappointed with the service since i paid a lot of money for that machine. If they cant fix the USB port for me, i can no longer trust the Lenovo Products. Please assist me.

Total Disappointment!!!! Lenovo has rejected both my screen and USB claims with the reason CID. I sent lencare an email and they said they will reply me soon.

I spent good money and bought the Lenovo Y50-70 in 2014 December with a warranty upgrade. Recently, i sent my laptop the authorized service center to fix the screen(Bright spots) and USB port. I take a very good care of the laptop. There are no visible scratches or dents. They told both warranty claims were rejected under CID (Customer Induced Damage). I tried to schedule a call and nobody calls me back. Sent messages to Lenovo on Facebook and they told me someone will contact me but nope. I wrote an email to the LenCare hoping they will help me to appeal. However, one week later, they told me the top management rejected both claims because the machine was purchased in 2014. Immediately it rendered my warranty upgrade useless. Why bother selling warranty upgrade if you refuse to fix it because the machine is more than one year old? Firstly, the QA is not that excellent. Secondly, they will deny your warranty claims on parts that don't usually fail themselves. Thirdly, their very very very bad behavior towards their customer warranty claims. Spend your money on Dell instead. They offer on-site-repair with no questions asked. Even Acer can handle customer warranty claims better.

an extended warranty, unless it includes the Accidental Damage Protection Services will also not cover CID as the original warranty will not. If you feel that any decisions taken are incorrect please post some pictures here in the forums and we can gather the opinions of some of our expert members; there is a lot of experience in these forums which you could draw on.
