i would either need order and customer number or Machine type and serial number. The latter is probably better so anyone else wouldn't be able to pull your order info.

Re: Warranty database not updated after 6 months

2010-07-12, 17:58 PM

My experience with Lenovo is turning into an absolute nightmare!

After finally getting my old PC warranty information correctly updated in the Lenovo warranty system AFTER OVER 6 MONTHS ...

I had a warranty repair call today on my NEW X201 Thinkpad - and yet once again, they have the wrong information in their warranty system. It shows that I have ONLY "depot" support vs. "on-site" warranty support!!!!!!!!

Yet my order reads:

41C9168 LENOVO THINKPLUS ONSITE REPAIR - EXTENDED SERVICE AGREEMENT - 3 YEARS - ON-SITE

THEN ....
I have had yet 2 more issues with Lenovo:

1. Lenovo has now put the cost of my X201 Thinkpad on my credit card THREE TIMES!!  So I now have "pending charges" of over $4,000 on my credit card!!  I called the invoicing department, but they are too busy and I was forced to leave a voice mail on their answering machine.

2. AND NOW ... when I go into Virtual Machine XP Mode, the disk drive is producing an intermittent "clicking" noise that technical support says is NOT GOOD for a hard drive.  So now they will have to send me out a NEW hard disk drive which unfortunately is BACK ORDERED!!!  So no telling when I will be able to continue using my new thinkpad.  Meanwhile, my 3 year warranty has already started, and before I can even use the new PC!!

My experience with Lenovo just keeps getting worse!!!

WOW! i'm so sorry for this. Here's what we can do, and this is the most logical option i believe, in order of problems listed:

1. Is it possible to have to PM me the order and customer number for the onsite warranty, and we can get started on getting the warranty fixed (again)

2. Sales may be the best group to speak to on the charges. I don't know the sales programs and processes, so I can't be sure exactly what's going on there. there should be an agent in sales to answer your questions though.

3. If we can get the Onsite warranty fixed, we may be able to fix the response time, usually having a part sent when it's on back-order is slower then having the machine sent to the Depot or having onsite service done.

I really hope we can fix this for you, and again, i'm so sorry about your experience, i'll do my best to get this fixed for you. Just get back to me with a PM. ^_^

mikelevy,

Hi there.

I'd like to see what I can do from this end regarding the charges to your credit card.

Please send me a P.M. with your order number and I will pursue this for you.

Thanks,

Vanessa

Hi mikelevy,

Don't worry about sending me a P.M. Cleo forwarded me your order info.

I'm looking into it now.

Hi Michael,

Glad to hear it.

A different Vanessa, but you're still welcome!  :smileywink:
