Why doesn't Lenovo keep a steady communication with their retailers?

I don't understand. I ordered a laptop off XoticPC on October 4th. I don't understand how Lenovo has such  terrible communication with their retailers. They told XoticPC that my laptop would have been shipped to them around the 17th of October and that date is way past. Not only that, I was being told that the specific laptop I ordered may not be in stock anymore. 

What's up Lenovo? I'd kinda like to get the laptop I ordred. Pretty set with it to be honest.
