Those having problems with internal/external SD card after installing ICS:

Was there an error when you installed part3.zip?

Try booting of the SD card again and installing part3.zip again - note that this will erase the content of your internal SD card.

Does this help?

No error at the installation but the tablet still dosn't recognize the internal or externa SD.

You can use Win32DiskImager if burn doesn't work.

Installed ICS on 10 months old 16GB A1 flawlessly.
Like the ICS UI much more than the GB.

Only issue is some Amazon apps could not be installed. Anyone has such problem?

Renamed cwm-6.0.1.2-ideapad-a1.zip to update.zip and copied to the card

Copied A1_rooter.zip to the card

Reinserted the card into the A1

Rebooted into recovery to install CWM

Rebooted into CWM and installed A1_rooter.zip

Where do i download these 2 zip files? can somebody post a link?

do I need to run both these zip files or can i just run the A1_rooter.zip to root my A1?

I experienced this bug a few days ago on Google Play.

Try unmounting the external SD card if you have one installed. Then attempt the software install. If ithe install succeeds, reboot your A1 and the external SD card will be automatically re-mounted once your tablet is back up.

Re: [GUIDE] A1 and A1107 Unbrick fix/full factory restore

I found ICS on A1 drain battery crazy by 'Cell standby'. In GB I could turn off 'Cell standby' by going into airplane mode. But looks like it did not do the trick in ICS.

Is there any other setting I should set to get it off?

Thanks.

Imsyl, this question has nothing to do with installation of ICS. It should be a new question/topic. This thread, about installing ICS has quickly become polluted with other questions and topics related to Lenovo's implementation ICS.

The short answer to your question is no, there is no easy way turn off Cell Standy. However, do check to ensure that "Google's location service" and "Location & Google Search" are turned off in Location Services in Settings.

Hi Markall,

Calibrating neither with charger pluged in nor without it helped. Then I found somrthing on Chinese site to update touch with bootable SD. Now my tablet is running fine, need to see for few days to test more extensively. Thank you for your support.

The link you posted does not include '.img' file to make bootable SD. But I found something on Chinese site (it is named "CL1_1.09A_for_5.img") to update touch with bootable SD (done with 'Win32 Disk Imager'). Now my tablet is running fine, need to see for few days to test more extensively.

Thank you.
