Re: Yoga Touch Screen Response Fix

2013-01-08, 18:20 PM

I have tried all of the fixes described here and still my touchscreen is not responding in two places, swiping from the top and swiping from the right. If I turn my screen around I can access the charms bar because it is a swipe from what would be the left side of the screen. I am now doing a full system restore of my computer, but I don't think it is a software thing. I will keep this thread updated on any changes after the restore, but it would be GREAT if someone at Lenovo had any idea as to why this would be happening.

Since your swipes don't work only for certain edges of the screen, did you try the screen calibration fix described in this thread?

Some Surface RT users say that a registry tweak makes the touch detection more responsive.

I tried it and it does seem to be a little better, though I never had any really poor responsiveness on my Yoga 13, just sporadic misses when swiping from the edges.

It's back!

I did a clean install of Windows 8 a few months back and installed all the most current drivers and BIOS from the Lenovo web site. Everything was working great! No edge swipe problems---I didn't have to go into the HID and change anything.

Then I upgraded to Windows 8.1 last week and the edge swipe issue magically returned. I fixed it with the same solution as was originally listed here, but thought Lenovo would want to know if they've fixed the problem, 8.1 seems to have magically unfixed it again. At least on my machine. If they even read this.
