Y510P Windows 8.1 Image Pixelized

2013-10-17, 21:27 PM

I'm having this problem too, but Im having another bigger problem. Today I installed the windows 8.1 (realease version, from the windows store), and although my screen resolution is 1920x1080, the image sucks! It seens much pixelized and with less sharpness..

For example, look at this screenshot of my taskbar. Look at the chrome icon.

Anyone with the same problem?

Did you change the DPI settings? I never used it and don't know how it looks like in Windows 8, but I do know changing DPI in Windows 7 could lead to the same symptoms you have.

Try setting it to 100%:

Nice, dont know why, but when I upgraded to 8.1, the display setted to 125% (medium). Changed to 100% and rebooted the PC, now it is working fine (y)
Thanks

I had the same thing, but it was the same thing - scaling 125%, then 100% reboot then back to 125 and it was fine.  100% is just a bit too small at times for me.

I upgraded to Windows 8.1 and it seemed to mess up my graphics display...  everything looks bigger, and I have less desktop space.

First, I no longer have the SLI option in my Nvidia Control Panel.

Second, the Windows display properties says I'm running at 1920x1080, what it should be.  But the Nvidia Geforce Experience software says I'm running at some weird 1536x864 resolution... which I believe is to be true since I have less desktop space.

How can I fix this?  I tried uninstalling my Nvidia drivers and reinstalling, but it did not fix anything.
