Since the iOS app to access my ix4-300d has been sunset a few years ago, this NAS has been sitting in my basement. I want to setup this NAS again for my family to use, IF (and only if) there is a way to turn this into a personal cloud, ie it can be accessed when we are not at home mainly via the apple products, ie iPhone, iPad and MacBook.
Any suggestion from anyone how to do this?

Hi Sam2019! Welcome to our forums community. Yes you can, you just need to setup your account. You can refer to this link: http://download.lenovo.com/lenovoemc/na/en/app/answers/detail/a_id/27322.html as guide. Regards

Thanks! I can make it work now (although I have to admit Lenovo's user interface is not the most user friendly compare to Dropbox, Google Drive, etc). I can bear with it. How about encryption? How do I implement https connection between my iPhone and the NAS box? And can I encrypt (256-bit or otherwise) the NAS itself?
Thanks again in advance.

Yes, it's possible to implement https connection. Refer to page 53 f the User Guide/Manual here, http://download.lenovo.com/nasupdate/manuals/ix2/ix2-4.1-en.pdf.
