I have been facing this issue since last 3 weeks and even after several updates and workarounds , nothing seems to be helping. Even my Messages are also hanging now and overall perfomance of device is decreasing in just 1 month. Not expected From Lenovo.
As a User , I am expecting this issue to be resolved ASAP as contact manager and Messaging App are really important. Please keep us posted on this.

Having the same issue from day 1. Complete contact manager Phone book manager messaging services are hanging.
When ever I open the any of the above, It says loading and after 2-3 minutes error popup as isn't responding. Same with all the above.
Tied to reset the phone, clearing the cache etc etc. Still no Use.
It seems like every time it load the data from from some cloud, which is taking time, I tried to search for the setting but no clues.
I am expecting the Lenovo Team to Fix it ASAP.

Still no fix for that, Its really f**king issue. No reply from lenovo team. no updates relieased.
I have tried to contact lenovo team via chat. But chat support is not available for Mobile devices I guess.
You can try what naineesh has asked to do.
Download another contact manager from App Store, Hope that works, I have not tried that still.
