Can u upload us the statistics of the battery consumption details like i did ?Did u update ur phone ?
Also,You should never charge ur battery to 100%,for best results charge it only upto 95% or 98% at max.Do not leave ur battery charged for overnight.
Could u provide a list of apps u have?
Do not worry, hope ur problem gets solved quick.

Re: K4 Note battery draining very quickly

Hi,
Today I updated to A7010a48_S147_160113_ROW(283MB). Still i am running out of Battery. I charged battery to full capacity at 3 o'clock. And it drained at 10:30. Running time is 7½ hours only. I am enabled data connection during that time. So in mobile data, K4 Note's capacity is only 7½ hours?? So, this is the capability of 3300mAh battery?? Is it enough for today's smartphone world??

Depends. If you are playing games for 7.5 hours, that seems like a good battery. If you are not using the phone at all, that seems weird. Unless you post the exact screen shot of your statistics like a user did before, nobody could really tell. I am not defending hte K4 Note implementation, as I don't have the phone, so an update maybe upcomming.

It is the 4 hours on screen time that drain your battery. It is a good and big screen, what can I say. Regarding the 1% drop every 3 minutes without using internet, switch on airplane mode and try again how many % per minute do you get. Just to test if it is the screen or something else. I am not saying that the battery can't be improved, Lenovo should look into it, but 4 hours is fairly standard for a large screen phones. It is not impressive I have to say, you can probably do that with older models too. Unless they are battery saving models like Vibe P1. From what you write, it is definitelly the screen that drains you battery. That is hard to replace or fix. 20% brightness should improve the on screen time quite a bit though.

Dumb reply man! Even Lenovo accepted my problem. There is issue in my device... Go and do some other task. Don't blame the users without using the particular device! Better you can avoid reply to the posts unless u faced the particular problem in particular device.. ***********

I am just giving you my opinion as a user of several phones. The K3 Note has around 6 hours of on screen time. That is when you are using your phone continuously with the screen on it will for sure get to 0% after 6 hours.

The K3 Note is rated for 36 hours of talk time on 3G that is if you only speak on the phone and don't use it for anything else it will last 36 hours. The K4 Note is rated 22 hours of talk time in 3G that is a bit less thank K3 Note.

Thus, I can assume that K3 Note and K4 Note will have similar on screen time, or the K3 Note will be slightly ahead in on screen time. That is you shall not get more than 6 hours out of the device with the screen on.

From your statistics, you get 4 hours and something screen time, then 3 hours and something off-screen time, and you still have 10% of the battery left. That suggest to me that you are getting nearly 6 hours of on-screen time.

Which is what I would expect for the K4 Note. You can call that dumb, but these are the clear numbers. I am happy for you Lenovo is looking into your case, and you can come back to tell us the result, I am quite curious.

Here are some links that say the on-screen time of K3 Note (sadly K4 Note has not been reviewed yet):

http://www.gsmarena.com/lenovo_k3_note-review-1319p3.php

Here is the compariosn between K3 Note and K4 Note, and on the battery side the K3 Note seems ahead, not sure why however:

http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=7802&idPhone2=7147

If you have a concrete problem with your phone, you can call the Lenovo Service Center. If you want opinion of other users of Lenovo phones, you can come to this forum. Calling other people's opinion's who don't match your own dumb is your particular way of communicating with other people, I presume. I am always glad when a genius joins the forum, and I hope you can advise many other K4 users, that would be kind :-)

Hi,

As per K4 and K3 Note comparison, K3 Note has Li-ion Battery while K4 has Li-Po Battery, I wonder if that could make the difference, although K3 Note rated battery capacity is less !

I too am facing this battery draining issue in K4 Note.

That should not be much of a difference as the capacity is the key. Higher capacity should give more power to the phone. Li-Po is said to be better in the long-run as it suffers less from ageing, it is also more expensive of the two types. I would wait for GSM Arena to do review incl test the battery to see how it performs.
