Reason for Lenovo k8 note

2018-05-29, 1:06 AM

Hello ,

I have been using lenovo k8 note from last August. This was an avg phone with avg battery. With 4000 mah battery it won't last even a day sometimes ,may be because I am a heavy user. But after Oreo update it is taking longer to charge fully and is draining too fast but the real problem here is the heating It sometimes gets so hot that holding it is very uncomfortable , good forbid answering calls. The reason for this may be because the phone is trying to look for a mobile network continuously. I noticed this when I was traveling all of a sudden the phone started heating up the CPU usage was at 85-90 . And there was no network on Sim 1 , this kept repeating for the whole journey so I had to disable Sim 1(Jio we know how good the connectivity is) support team please fix this the phone is trying too hard to find a network when there is nothing available.

Re: Battery problem

2018-05-29, 1:59 AM

Do you know the cause of battery heating:

The power consumption of the mobile phone in standby is very small, that is to say its battery's equivalent load resistance is large, so the discharge current is very small so the battery does not generate heat and the internal power consumption of the battery power is very small.

The power consumption of the mobile phone when waiting for a call or when using the MP3 is very large, that is to say, its battery's equivalent load resistance is small, and a large current discharges during operation. After the battery discharges some of the electricity, the internal resistance increases. However, the current required for the operation of the mobile phone cannot be reduced. Then, a considerable part of the energy is consumed in the internal resistance of the battery, causing the battery to heat up and accelerating. The use time is also shortened quickly.

Re: Battery heating lenovo k8 plus

When the mobile phone is at normal room temperature, it is normal that the heat does not exceed 60°C. It will not damage the battery.
The use of high-current chargers should not be too long. Charging the battery for too long will damage the battery and also generate heat.
The charger is best to use original or quality reputable products
If you are not in a hurry to use it, it is recommended that you use a charger (slow charge) for better charging, so that the battery will not heat up.
Use your phone to listen to the MP3 or charge the battery. If the phone feels a bit hot, go back to standby or change battery if it is over 60°C. If you charge it, unplug the charger immediately.
If conditions are sufficient, it is recommended to use a battery to use.

Re: K8 Note heating up due to high CPU usage after Android O update

2018-05-29, 19:45 PM

I have the same issue of heating, so hot some time that hard to keep it in your hand. Its all started after the Oreo update. Tried lots of things but nothing worked. The over heat is cause by the CPU is stuck in high speed and can only be unstuck by restrarting. That solves the problem for a bit then it starts again.

Monitoring the apps didn't give any clue as non of them was miss behaving. the system is using most of the charge 12% compared to the top up 5%.

Only the phone gets hot can't even keep it in packet and loose charge in few hours.

CPU-Z shows that all cores are in full power and won't stop. The CPU is over 80C.

This is way not normal!

Please adwise.

I brought my Lenovo K8 Note in Mar'2018 and until early this month it was pretty good. The battery started heating up unusually after the upgrade to Oreo and since then the phone behaviour has been erratic and it's too hot.  This also leads to low performance. Please suggest corrective actions if not I am compelled to go to consumer court for refund.

Lenovok8note Oreo update heating, charging, hanging problem.
VoltE is using more than 90% of CPU causing phone to heat.

DISABLE VOLTE - it's 100% working for me. No issues from last 96 hours. U can also RESET & disable VoltE just to be double sure. Backup ur data before u reset.

Dude, why did you waste your hard-earned money on this crap? Should have gone for Redmi Note 5 Pro. It's worth every penny!
