I am facing the same heating issue. The phone has become a pocket heater after installing the OREO update and is becoming increasingly inconvienient to use. At times i have to switch off the phone for 5 mins for it to cool down.

I have been using JIO volte and Vodafone for the past 6 months. The service providers are still the same, but the performance of the phone has changed drastically over the last two days, to an extent where it has become a concern.
Let me know if you had a different experience.

Just an working update. I restarted my phone once and problem solved. No heat up, no quick drainage of battery and interface issue. Try this mate as a quick remedy!

I also faced same heating and battery drain issue immediately after Andriod O update on my Lenovo K8 Note. Also charging the phone got very slow.
I restarted the phone and it is now working normally. No heating issue. Minor heating during charging but no heating during the use. Battery is also performing normally.
Andriod O UI is very user frendly and pleasant.
Thanks for the update Lenovo.
