I am also facing this problem after update heating of the phone is heavy. while phone call and internet usage it's heating up. also when the charge is less than fifteen percent battery drains fastly and ends within seconds. battery usage is fast compared to last update os seven. yes, os o updates have a lot of benefits, Dolby sound improved, visual effects improved etc. hope the developers will consider this and make necessary steps.

what i found as a solution to this is u just do a factory reset in your device that has helped me to get back to normal heating as before oreo uppdate .
but this is also not acceptable as a update it should have been taken care of.
but yes intense heating can be solved by factory reset .

I updated my k8 note today to oreo 8.0. Till now I am facing many problems like :
1. It is heating too much I have restarted the device but still no luck with its heating issue I even did a factory reset but no hope.
2. The phone is charging very slowly its been more than 40 mins while charing it but it got to a meesley 22%.
In future try to avoid forcing a half baked update, don't you lot have any good devs.
buying lenovo phone is a big mistake i did.

It's heating up so much that I am afraid that its metallic back is gonna melt some day or the battery will explode. This amount of heat daily isn't at all good for the hardware also. It can damage the hardware permanently.
Yesterday, I slept with around 50% battery. It was on airplane mode and no apps were running. When I woke up, the battery was 33%, and the phone was so warm that I couldn't even hold it. The total RAM usage by apps was around 600MB only.

Dear Lenovo team, don't act as if you have given us the device for free. All of us have spent our hard-earned money on your device and we deserve a stable and problem-free device. 14K INR is a really big amount for some people. Don't ruin your customers' trust.
