Re: K8 note charging time takes too long after android 8.0 update

2018-09-10, 11:54 AM

I am on the latest build and wasn't having much charging problems except that a full charge took about 3 hours. But this wasn't much of a problem since it charged to about 75% percent quickly. Recently, for about two weeks now, the charging speed has gone down with no particular reason. The phone also heats up while charging. Charging rate has dropped to about 1%/3 minutes, while it used to be ~1%/min. I have tried different cables, tried calibrating the battery, and even tried a reset. But all this did nothing. The phone still heats up a lot more than it used to while charging and charges slowly. It still reaches a 100% in 3 hours, but the initial 0-75% region where the turbo charging worked properly is not so anymore. I even tried another quick charge capable charging brick and the results are the same. Any help is appreciated.
