Re: hi ,guys is there any solution for battery drain issue in lenovo k 8 note?

2017-10-20, 5:36 AM

Friends I ordered a Lenovo k8 note from Amazon during a sale period for RS.12,000. I was facing the battery drain issue in that phone.... By saying battery drain issue I mean I was only getting 5 hrs of screen on time..... But we know that for a phone having 4000 mah battery we should get atleast 7.5 hrs of sot(if not then you tell me how much sot I should get).....

So I replaced my phone but again same problem appeared.....:smileysad: Then I replaced it again cuz I don't want to keep a defective phone..... But the my third k8 note was also giving me 5 hrs of sot......

Now I am replacing it again.... What I wanted to know is there anyone whose k8 note battery is working fine and which gives atleast 7.5 hrs of sot or every phone is having the same problem....

Friends pls tell me how much sot u get from your phone it will help me a lot....

Anyways thanks in advance....

I Guess this is one of the main problems. Not all users are facing the same thing. Some people gets the usual Screen on Time (SOT ) of around 9 hours , though that is low for a 4,000 mAH battery, the condition I'm facing right now that seems like heaven. I never get more than 4.5 hours - 5 hours SOT, without gaming on WiFi, around 4 hours with an hour of gaming on WiFi, kind of the same for 4G.

From what I am seeing, around 40-50% of the users are facing the low battery backup issue and it's greatly inconvenient for them as one of the main reasons for buying this phone was the huge battery and the promised heavy battery backup, and as a lot of people like me had the K4 Note and other previous phones of the Lenovo Note series, they never faced an issue and bought this phone placing their faith on Lenovo which they managed to destroy completely.

On top of that, they are not even acknowledging the fact that their phones do have a massive problem regarding the battery life issue, they just ask for screenshots from Individuals as if only a few particular people are the only ones facing this problem.

Hey,

SOT( Screen On Time) depends on various factors. I get 5 to 9 hours, but mostly 5 hours.

Factors effecting SOT:

1. Screen Brightness

2. Number of Apps installed

3. Number of Apps running in background

4. Cellural network strength : weak signal cause high battery drain.

5. Cellular network signal type: 4g+volte drain lots of battery.

6. Atmospheric temperature: Lithium Ion batteries leak charge if operating temperature is high.

7. Phone settings : Bluetooth, Wifi, GPS all drains battery.

All the above are some of the many factors.

Regards,

Amal

Please note: my screen brightness will always be set in low brightness only but still battery drains. Release updates on priority.

Respected sir, 9 hours SOT is still low for a 4000 mAH battery, even with high brightness. And I'm getting around 5. I do get around 75% signal strength and have Volte , but no way can it steal 50% of my battery life. I've seen users with 4G and 130 apps installed getting 10 hours SOT while some who has no Volte or 4G and only a few apps get around 5-6 hours of SOT. Even on the day I unboxed my phone and no sim card was inserted, the SOT I got was really low then too. Lenovo just made a lot of defective batches, that's the only logical thing I can explain for this. I get 5 hrs SOT on lowest Brightness, while my friend who had this phone from the day of the first batch being delivered by Amazon gets around 8 hours with medium brightness and 4G + VolTe.

This is the data while I have used my mobile for 12 hours moderate use with no gaming only calls and browsing internet. So is it normal?

Also I'm unable to upload attachment from Lenovo community app.

What the hell, The Lenovo Admin will never respond to these questions or they will never give a solution.

In the lenovo site officially given as "Up to 24.7 hours (4G) talk time and around 15 days standby with embedded 4000 mAh Li-poly, built-in".

For what reason this forum is available if Lenovo can't help their customers. Very cheap and third class services you give.

RIP if you cant help your customers.
