Re: Battery drops from 80% to 0%

Hello,

I'm facing a daily problem with my LENOVO K8 NOTE . the battery is draining too fast and often drops from 50% to 0% instantly .

I have tried many solutions but the problem was not solved :

- Disabling Wifi/bluetooth search for localisation

- Factory reset

- Clearing cache

- recovery, Wipe cache partition

- recover, Wipe data

Hi SreeManojPrudhv,

Thanks for the additional information, if you have already tried the above following troubleshooting with no avail then it sounds more like 'Calibration' issue to me. Please perform the above steps mentioned for a week—if you still do not see improvements then our best bet would be to have your device sent for Service/Repair for further assistance.

You can also have your device tested in Safe Mode for 24-48 hours as suggested by Ownw to see if that helps!

Regards,

Swaraj

K8 Note, Android 8.0.0: Battery temperature is displayed as -20°C in Lenovo Help Diagnostics

2019-02-18, 13:06 PM

The Battery Temperature and the charging current is being reported as -20°C and 0 mA respectively.

The Battery is not charging and neither does the phone boot up after powering off at 58% battery. Until it is shook vigorously only then does the welcome screen displaying "Lenovo" starts up.

While in switched off mode and connected to the original he charger which works fine. The notification light blinks slowly. And there is no displaying of the charging status as it should normally display when you short press the power button.

At this stage the phone doesn't boot in neither of "safe mode", "recovery mode" or the "normal mode" which are the options available when you long press the volume down button.

The welcome screen displaying "Lenovo" shows up in "meta mode" but goes no further.

So to boot the phone I have to shake it sideways vigorously.

Moreover the battery would drain form 15% to 0% at phone idle within 5 minutes or so.

Contact a Lenovo engineer and please post a proper sollution.

Hi Lenovo_K8_Note0,

Thanks for posting. I'd like to help. Let's try calibrating the battery, hold the power button until the phone reboots > Plug into the supplied charger > Charge to 100% > Leave on the charger for at least an additional hour. This process will reset the battery table and allow the phone to calibrate. Let us know what happens after.

Best regards,
Rich

Battery replacement

2019-03-03, 8:27 AM

My Lenovo K8 note is only functioning when plugged in, it turns off instantly if plugged out. I think my battery is damaged as earlier i was having battery percentage fluctuation issue. How to get the real issue identified, and if a issue with battery, how to get it replaced ?
