Re: Monthly Security Updates

Ummm having 2 to 3 bars is normal.

Infact if having 2 to 3 bars does not cause any problems in Calling or using internet then there will be not much problem in that.

But still we need regular updates to keep our device safe and up to date.

Hi,

Calling is great but data is not. I barely get 2-3 mbps on my k8 note but on my other device i get 40mb to 50mb speeds. So sure its lenovo that needs doing something.

To be honest i regret buying this k8 note. I hope what Tigersfan said comes true and we either get Oreo or march update.

With Lenovo everything is possible and uncertain.

I've contacted customer care and they said that a new update will be released soon but they are not sure about the date as well as they are also not sure whether it will be an Oreo update or not.

Hi,

That really says nothing but again lack of customer support is also one thing they are good at.

The only thing Lenovo is good at is making customer's fool with their huge promises that can never be fulfilled by Lenovo.

I just contacted the Lenovo Customer Care they told that an update will be released very soon and the update for the Oreo update is under testing..

Lenovo has made such an image that even if they were saying the truth, then also we have doubt in our mind that they are saying another lie.

This is the first time I contacted their customer care team.

And yeah you are right that they give just the text book reply.

Hello diablo121,

Those who have issues with network connectivity, you can try and uninstall Carrier services from Play store.

It happened to my mom's LG phone, on her phone when i turn on data, phone was not connecting to anything (4G,3G,Edge), i even contacted Airtel and they said everything is working fine for their end.

Then i changed the SIM from her mobile to mine, & it was working perfectly.

Lastly i uninstalled Carrier services to last update and connected her SIM back and viola it was working perfectly.

Also i have changed the APN settings same as mine, since we both uses Airtel.

You all can try an change the APN settings, whose connection is working perfectly in JIO.

You guys can try the same, hope it helps.
