Lenovo G700 and no wireless internet

2013-11-07, 8:09 AM

Hello

I have a brand new Lenovo G700 and a serious problem with the wireless internet.
I installed windows 7 ultimate, 64 bit. After that I installed all the drivers from the Lenovo Driver disk and all the other features are working properly. Sadly in Device Manager the Wireless Network Adapter is not recognized. I tried to let is search for drivers from my computer and after that from the internet (the cable internet adapter works perfectly fine) but it couldn't find anything. I downloaded all the latest drivers for the wireless adapter from the Lenovo website but none of them seemed to work for me. The Qualcomm driver doesn't want to install. When I run the setup it starts preparing installation shield or something like that and after it boots up the whole installation window disappears and nothing happens. I tried to run it in safe mode but the same thing happened in there as well. I installed the Broadcom driver but once again nothing happened, the wireless adapter kept repeating that there are no drivers for it and it couldn't find any no matter how many times I tried.
I went to the bios and Wireless was Enabled there. I tried to disabled it and once again enabled it after that but once again no luck. I left it enabled but it doesn't really help.

I believe that the problem is somewhere in the driver and I just can't figure out what more should I do.
The one driver that is named Cybertan and Liteon in reality is once again Broadcom and Qualcomm. Just thought to let you know.

Please can you give me some sort of an advice what to do because I am out of ideas. The problem is 99%  driver related (at least I think so). Because as I said earlier in device manager the wireless adapter is market as one without drivers. I don't know, please help.

I was finally able to find the proper drivers. My problem was solved with these drivers:
WLAN and Bluetooth Driver (Broadcom, Qualcomm)

I have had the same issue for awhile now. Had to reformat my computer 4 times back to WIN 8 because after the WIN 8.1 update which you don't have a choice but to do it the wireless stops working. This is the worst laptop I have ever bought nothing but issues. Now I am connected to a wire because is the only way to get on the internet. I have tried all the drivers for the fix but nothing. I will not recommend this Lenovo Laptop to anyone nothing but issues from the day I bought it
