Re: IdeaCentre B540 display issue

When my machine has been sleeping/hibernating overnight, when I move the mouse the next day it will not com out of hibernation. The disk makes some noise but the display will not switch on. I have to hard reb oot the machine. This has always happened sice it was new when it had Win8. It now has Win10 but it still happens. It's really annoying me, can anyone help??

hi Mork,

 

It looks like you have hybrid sleep turned ON which maybe the cause of the problem.

 

Can you try these steps:

1. Press the Windows logo key‌ Windows logo key+X and select Control Panel.

2. Under icon views, navigate to Power Options > Edit Plan Settings > Change Advanced Power Settings > Sleep > Allow Hybrid Sleep and set it to OFF.

When finished, try to put the computer to sleep. When the power button blinks (which is a sign that the computer successfully entered sleep state), try to wake it up and observe.

 

If this works for you then try these additional steps:

1. Turn OFF hibernation on the Advanced Power Settings --> reboot --> then turn it back ON and observe.

2. If same problem, follow this guide on how to perform a clean boot then put the machine to hybrid sleep then observe.
