I've played with different boot options, all of them end the same, "error 1962". I have a bootable win10 thumbdrive.
Any help appreciated!

That error points to the SSD having no operating system.
Have you already installed Windows on the SSD using your bootable USB thumbdrive (I presume it contains Windows 10 installation Media), or did you try to clone it from your old SSD?

Thank you for your help Iam trying to install windows via my usb that I used Microsoft to create a bootable usb thumb drive to boot from so I could reinstall my activated windows #. No Luck, it will not recognize my usb.
I tried the usb on this laptop I am borrowing and the usb boot came up.
I had the error 1962 on my AIO before putting in the new ssd. changed bios to UEFI only and it would still boot til I tried to reset it to factory, then it died. So here I am with new SSD but UEFI only will not boot from usb.
