I tryed to see with the hardware scan but the one that Lenovo gave me does not show any failed. I guess it's a drivers problem, but also don´t know if it´s the screen´s drivers, the monitor´s or the graphic´s.

Only the edges are working but not all the screen. Very strange!

I bought it in US, but I live in Argentina, so it's not easy to send it to the waranty to have a check. And cannot access to a chat with LENOVO so as to ask them directly the solution, I guess there is no chat...:smileyfrustrated:

Can anyone help me finding a solution?

Thanks a lot!

Good day.

Sorry you're having difficulty.

I don't see any chat method, either, but have you tried giving Support in Argentina a call? Maybe they can offer some advice on service options available to you.

Regards.

All I can offer is to explain how to REMOVE the 'jumping around' by turning OFF the driver that causes it. You will NOT be able to use the 'touch' facility but you CAN use the screen as a regular screen without all that horrible jumping!! Would that be valuable to you??

yes, very much! tks a lot in advance. I "cleared" all the icons from the edges so as not to be open by  this bug.

Now it´s something I can manage but sometimes in the past was a really pain in the ...

OK here goes disabling the touch function...

1. In Desktop mode right click Start

2 Left click  Device Manager

3 Double click Human Interface Driver

4 About 4th item down is 'HID-compliant touch screen'

5 Right click that to open small panel

6 Left click Disable Device

7 Click YES on warning screen

Touch screen will stabalise with no 'popping'

Suggest you reboot and recheck Device Manager to see if touch screen is STILL disabled

If it IS then ok to continue without all that jumping around

If it has reset to 'Enabled' then now Uninstall the driver!!

Hoped that worked. It has for me and others...?

Tony

PS: There does appear to be a Microsdoft Upgarde to Win10 that enables it but removes the problem but does NOT allow touching!!

Re: ALL IN ONE C50-30, TOUCHSCREEN PROBLEM

OK! At last! I know what the problem is but not necessarily the solution BUT DO READ ON!

I bought my NEW B80-50 (WITH AMD PROCESSOR!!) in 2015 and the problem was immediately apparent! After a lot of messing around I managed to BYPASS the problem in the HID section of Device Manager (see here elsewhere in this forum!)

Then my B80-50 had a fatal failure in October 2019!!!! No point in trying to fix it so bought a 2nd-user one on eBay from a trustworthy guy locally. TO MY SURPRISE THIS WORKED PERFECTLY WITH THE TOUCH SCREEN!

I had done a full backup and recovery of my system and all went very well!!! No problems at all! Touch screen still worked fine!

Looked hard for differences and quickly found that

a) My original B50-80 used an AMD processor

b) My new one is Intel!

As it happens I am a retired senior manager of IBM and I contacted one of my ex-techie guys who put me onto a senior manager at Lenvo UK. HE... put me onto one of HIS techie guys.... who said....

(precis) "Yes we know there was a problem with the touch screen using the AMD chip but it works just fine with any Intel chip!"

c) Sooo... "what can AMD users do?" .... long wait.... "Nothing... except bypass it as you did!"
