ALL IN ONE C50-30, TOUCHSCREEN PROBLEM

My touch screen is going nuts. It looks like a child is touhing the screen with all his fingers all over the screen. I guess they call this ghost touch. I've tried calling support and they wanted me to unistall the touch screen and reboot my computer so it re installs the driver. STILL doesnt work, it just goes crazy and wont let me do anything because it keeps opening up programs on my desk top. Can anyone help me????

Sorry to hear of the problem you are experiencing.  If re-installing the drivers had no effect, have you considered doing a Windows System Restore to a time before the problem occurred? 

 

I assume you have Windows 10 so here is a link with instructions on using System Restore....

If the problem continues after doing a System Restore then I would suspect you have a hardware issue.  Please contact Lenovo Support for additional warranty assistance with the repair.

I bought my C50-30 with Win8 just before the Win8=>Win10 free upgrade finished. The touchscreen worked fine under Win8 but once I upgraded to Win10 I have NEVER managed to correct it. I was NOT going to roll back to Win8 but the ONLY thing I have had to do is TURN OFF the touch screen ability in the Device Manager. This gets rid of the problem ok and I occasionally turn it on with newer Win10 updates but it is still not 'fixed'!! All Lenovo has said (as above) is return to a working system!! Not much use/understanding that was!

I have corresponded with Microsoft at length and all THEY do is recommend I contact the manufacturer!!

Soo... 3.5 years later... no-one has fixed anything!

My other recommendation is DO NOT BUY A LENOVO TOCH SCREEN AIO PC!!

I had problem with jumping cursor after installing win 10 then i switched off in device manager and all was good as i dont use touch screen i didnt bother its not working but i was able to work with computer but then hard drive failed and when fitted new and installing windows it was impossible to click on amy buttons and i couldnt install windows .i had to open computer and disconnected touchscreen . Hi. Did all or any of you see my reply to the problems with the touchscreen on the B & C Lenovo series? I 'solved' the problem totally by using another screen driver. I think it was replacing the regular Lenovo one with the Intel one but... look it up or contact me!!
