B320 only TV mode possible

Hi,

I bought a refurbished "working" IdeaCentre B320.

After spending several hours I am now at this:

PC power button (the front bottom left button) on: THe TV turns on.

The TV on/off button at the bottom right side has no effect. It doesn't turn either on or off the TV.

THe TV is turned on by the PC power button.

And, I am not able to switch to PC mode!

Any hint on how to do it?

When starting, before I configured the TV channels, it did show the lenovo logo, I saw keyboard and hd activity (leds), but then it just stopped with a "no signal" message (so it already was in TV mode then, and it had no tv channels as source signal).

Hope it is not a problem ...

btw. I inserted a linux live cd. It works and works and works, so I suspect that the problem is just a switching modes.

No remote available (it didn't come with the system).

Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: B320 only TV mode possible

Thanks for the help!

Sorrily it is not possible to do anything.

The right side TV button has no effect.

Only the front PC power button works, but it turns the TV on and off. No sign of the PC.

So there is no way to update drivers, firmware or enter the boot menu.

There is absolutely no sign of the PC on the screen, just TV.

If a boot CD is inserted, it seems to boot (lots of cd activity. Just that.

Since I would have to send the PC back (a few thousand miles) I hope you can give me a suggestion on how to disconnect the TV and just use the PC. I do not need the TV.

Thanks!

Re: B320 only TV mode possible

I suspect, but could be wrong, that somewhere along the line the computer was on, then the tv was turned on in full screen mode and then was shut off and it is stuck in that mode.  This would have the power button on the left on and the tv led on the left on.

Did you unplug the power for a minute or two then plug it back in?

If this seems like a possible you might want to contact the seller and ask for it, if he doesn't have it you might find one on ebay cheap.

As I said, I could be wrong also????? it was just a thought.
