B540 black screen on boot

For some reason, I don't see my monitor screen on restarting my machine. I tried removing all connected USB devices and also tried F2 , but nothing worked for me.

My configuration info:

Config # : 57310400
Machine SN# : VSxxxxxxxx

Thanks

Re: B540 black screen on boot

Hi Vyankarla,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

I’m sorry to hear that the display of your B540 All-In-One is black when restarting the computer, please let me know if the issue is same when the computer is normally turned ON and not restarted and check if the issue is same by connecting an External Display to the computer.

Hope to hear back soon

Best Regards

Shiva Kumar

Re: B540 black screen on boot

Hi Shiva,  I tried normal start and also external display option , but still the same issue. I took it to local PC repair center and they concluded that it was an issue with motherboard.  It is roughly costing around $325 to repair this (including motherboard cost).  My warranty expired and not sure if it is worth to put this money to fix this.  I may not go for Lenovo products in the future .

Re: B540 black screen on boot

I have the same problem but in my case, I can see the computer working when is conected with an external monitor. I am using HMDI cable with the TV.

after I tried to restore the all sytem to factory default, I can't enter to windows. only show  show the LENOVO logo of ending in a black screen.

I have access to F2 and ONEKEY recovery conecting the computer with the the HMDI cable and I see the process at the end is asking  me to shut down or restart, I have use both ways and later after neen formated  the same thing LENOVO logo on the TV Screen followed by a black screen and in the computer screen is totally black.
