Ideacentre b550 Windows update causes wireless adapter crash

2016-07-15, 5:48 AM

I have an Ideacentre B550 all in one pc.  On July 12th it ran Windows updates.  When I turned it on the next day I had no ethernet or wireless connection.  I checked the modem/router and it was working fine.  Wireless devices could connect to the router as well.

I tried uninstalling the network adapter to see if it would fix any problem with the driver.  That didn't work.  Then I tried restoring the PC to a date before the Windiws update.   That didn't work either.

Has anyone had this problem?  is there any solution short of refreshing the PC & losing all my data & software?
