Lenovo Horizon 27" pc mode video issue

2015-06-09, 13:40 PM

My Lenovo Horizon 27" doesn't boot anymore
When I switch it on, first the storage light comes on and then the WiFi light after which it shows that the screen is going off in 10 seconds. Prior to this, I had Windows 10 running and it crashed one day. It kept rebooting to self repair until I tried to repair it myself with a EasyRE repair bootable usb, but that made the boot loop worse forcing the horizon to only restart without an option of repair and then eventually the issue I'm having now occured. Please help

I have this same issue. Windows 8.1 behaving very slowly so I rebooted it. After pressing power button the hard drive and wireless lights will flash at once per second and then go into a sleep mode power down. The lights continue to flash. Occurred once before and forced me to restore from original image.

lenovo horizon ideacentre 27 pc mode video issue

2015-12-28, 0:57 AM

I have the horizon ideacentre 27 and had no issues with it. Then one day i went to turn it on and it said no signal power saving mode and counted down like 10 seconds and then the screen powered off. I know its not an issue with the lcd screen itself because ive plugged my ps3 into the hdmi port and it displays that with no problem.. I was looking online and found some info saying it may be a problem with the scalar board, but i think that might have been info for the horizon 2, because i couldnt find anything about a scalar board anywhere for the horizon. If anyone can help id really appreciate it. Thanks

I am having trouble with my ideacentre 27. I went to turn on my computer one day and it says power saving mode and counts down 10 seconds and then the screen shuts off..i think it continues into booting up the pc, but theres nothing on the screen. When i plug my ps3 into the hdmi, it works just fine... I could use some advice on this please.

Horizon 27 1st Gen - Will not boot, goes to power saving mode

2016-02-03, 2:30 AM

Horizon 27 started not booting to windows 10. Tried startup repair etc and nothing worked but at least I was ablet try and troubleshoot as I could turn the computer on.

Then it started to go straight to power saving mode when I press power. So I pretty much am stuck.

I pulled the msata and am able to access it through a usb adapter, so the drive is good.

Where to go from here?

Being able to access the drive is different from being able to boot from it. Perhaps, the boot records are corrupted. I suggest first using the USB adapter to get a backup of all critical data and download a win 10 image and try to repair from that.

I'd love to be able to attempt that.

Unfortunately, when I press the power button, the fans turn, the screen turns on and says "power-saving", counts down from 10 and goes to a blank screen.

That's all it will do.

not sure if this would help as dont have one, but on some laptops i have had to drain the battery, non removable (turn on and wait the 10 sec's for it to power save until the battery drains) then plug in and wait an hour for it to charge then turn on.

other things to check is the power cable
Thx dave
